Nugget starts his international fighting career!

An amazing experience in Greece in the Athens European Challenge fighting at the highest level against the elite of Europe.

On Saturday, the highlight came in Henry’s Light Con 1st Round defeat of his Italian opponent, winning a tight contest in the final seconds. The QF was another close contest against the World Number 9 Moldovan, who eventually came out on top.

Sunday began with Henry’s first points category -47kg where he came up against an Italian NAK fighter. The Italian was too sharp on this occasion in a high class fight and came out victorious.

Henry then competed at -52kg where he dispatched his 1st Round Greek opponent with ease. Unfortunately he then drew the eventual winner and World Number 6 from Poland. Despite giving it his all Henry didn’t make it through.

In between the long days we managed to fit in a trip to the astounding Acropolis.

Massive experience gained on the tatami and World ranking points won. Henry is now ranked in the WAKO top 50 in both LC and points.
